Australian summers are hot. The heat is dry and a dull hum fills the air. People travel over oceans to enjoy this heat, the white soft sand of our beaches and the views from our mountain ranges.
And then suddenly the temperature drops and the rain comes. After days sweltering in the thick air, the cool air bring respite; the nation breathes a sign of relief.
Then the mist rises.
There is nothing quite like summer mist rising through the eucalyptus. The beauty of it all is breathtaking.
The heat will inevitably return again and the beaches will always be there. The summer dream isn’t ruined. Make the most of the interlude and be drawn in by the beautiful Australian landscape. Deep greens, greys and blues…. Endless and magnificent.
Here are a few JW photos taken along the country roads between Melbourne and Daylesford.
Enjoy.
